Espresso Gear Attento Clickmat Tamper Mat is designed to simplify the process of tamping the coffee grounds by allowing more control over tamping pressure. It clicks when you apply the right pressure, which improves puck consistency. It comes with an Allen key with which you can set the pressure anywhere between 10 and 25kg. Made from high-quality stainless steel, nylon and food safe silicone, it will perfectly protect portafilter and counter when tamping. Also includes a spare rubber disc.
How to use this tamper mat:
- Remove the silicone tamping sheet from the click mat.
- Use the provided Allen key to set the tamping pressure. Use weighing scales to set the correct pressure.
- Place portafilter on the mat and tamp as you normally do.
- When you hear the "click" you have reached the correct pressure. It is a very distinct click which sounds at the exact moment you reach the target force.
