Prepare delicious cold brew coffee easily at home with Hario Mizudashi coffee maker. To brew, all you need is coffee grounds and cold water. This method avoids oxidation of beans so you can enjoy the true, full bodied flavor of your coffee. The pot is made from heat proof glass and comes with a sleek, removable strainer which allows for even extraction of the coffee and makes cleaning easy. Available in red color, it has a capacity of 1L, enough to brew up to 8 cups of coffee at once.
How to use this Cold brew coffee maker:
- Put 80g of freshly ground coffee into the strainer. Medium-fine dark roasted grounds recommended.
- Set the strainer in the pot and make sure it is oriented correctly.
- Slowly pour in small amounts of water so that all the coffee grounds become wet evenly. Pour in water up to half of the height of the band.
- Use a spoon to gently and slowly stir the coffee grounds and water inside the strainer.
- Fit the lid on the pot and place the pot in the refrigerator. It takes approximately 8 hours for the coffee to extract.
- Remove the pot from the fridge and remove the strainer from the pot to finish your cold brewed coffee. Replace the lid and store in the refrigerator.
Care and Use:
- Use a soft sponge and neutral detergent to clean this product.
- Do not use cleansers or sponges that contain abrasives, as doing so may scratch the glass.
- Dishwasher safe.
- Try to use water that does not have a strong chlorine odor whenever possible.
- Always store in a refrigerator and use within 2 to 3 days. The coffee will oxidize over time.
