Kalita Wave WDG-185 Glass Coffee Dripper Black:
Make 2-4 cups of delicious coffee at a time with Kalita Wave WDG-185 glass dripper, one of the finest Japanese pour over brewers available. Its flat-bottomed, vented design slows down the draining to encourage a more balanced and consistent coffee extraction. Further, the three triangulated holes in the bottom of the brewer helps controls the flow rate. Another important feature is that the contact surface between the filter and the inner dripper with 20 waves is minimal, which allows a smooth coffee extraction. The dripper is made of heat-resistant glass and fitted on top of black-coloured brim made of BPA-free plastic. Use it with Wave filter #185 and place it over a Kalita glass server or directly on top of your coffee cup.
How to use this coffee brewer:
- Place filter in the Kalita Wave. Rinse the filter with hot water.
- Weight out 32g of coffee beans for 500mL water.
- Grind the coffee on a medium-coarse setting and place into the filter.
- Secure it above a server.
- Start a timer and pour 30/60mL water over the grounds so that it is soaked. And then let it sit for 30 seconds to bloom.
- Pour the remaining water in slow, concentric circle motion.
- Brew should be ready in about 1:45 minutes.
- Remove the dripper, give the coffee a quick stir and let it cool down a little. And then enjoy!
Care and Use:
- Grind coffee beans fresh just before you brew to get the best flavour and aroma.
- To clean the dripper, rinse it out with hot water to remove any remaining coffee. And then wipe it using a dry cloth. Also, dishwasher safe.
