Wacaco Pipamoka Portable Coffee Maker is simple, sturdy and a brilliant pressure brewer. Its brewing technique sets it apart from other coffee makers. Vacuum pressure is created inside the cup thanks to its revolutionary design and inventive twisting mechanism. This negative pressure generates a suction force that draws hot water downwards through the coffee grounds. The coffee is then brewed and placed immediately into the thermal insulated mug, where it will keep hot for several hours. In approximately two minutes, the unique coffee-making technique produces a pure, flavorful cup of coffee.
Further, it uses a permanent micro-filter mesh of 250μm, as precious natural oils present in the ground pass into the cup, contributing to rich flavors. Brew ratio is like standard drip or infusion methods, close to 1:15 (1 g of coffee ground for 15 mL of water). It packs every tool you need to prepare and enjoy a novel experience distilled right into your cup, anytime, anywhere.
How to use this coffee maker:
- Fill the water chamber and drop the coffee basket into it. Let it sink to the bottom.
- Turn the ring to create vacuum pressure that draws the water down through the grounds.
- When the water chamber has fully risen, remove the brewer, add the lid and enjoy a hot coffee for hours.
Care and Use:
- For the best brewing results, use a medium- to medium-fine grind.
- Twisting the ring requires a minimal amount of force that anyone can achieve easily by holding the Pipamoka with two hands.
- Recommend washing the coffee maker under running water and wipe with a clean cloth. Then allow all the parts to dry completely before reassembling. It is not dishwasher safe.
- It does not heat up water. In order to make your coffee, you will have to fill the chamber with boiling water.
- Not microwave safe.
